TERMS & CONDITIONS

Dahlias and Co. – Terms & Conditions

Dahlia Tuber Sales Terms & Conditions

1. Product Information

• All tubers sold are true to name to the best of our ability. Should you discover you have received a mislabel, we will replace this the following season.

• Tubers will have at least one visible eye and be deemed viable at time of dispatch.

• Images used are representative of the variety but may vary due to growing conditions.

2. Ordering & Payment

• Orders must be paid in full at the time of purchase.

• We reserve the right to cancel orders for any reason, including stock shortages or unforeseen crop failures. If this occurs, you will receive a full refund.

3. Shipping & Delivery

• Tubers are shipped during our designated dispatch window.

• You will receive a confirmation email once your order has shipped.

• Dahlias and co. is not responsible for delivery delays and damages caused by courier companies or incorrect shipping details provided by the customer.

4. Combining Orders

• Due to high order volumes and administrative limitations, we are unable to combine multiple orders after checkout.

5. Returns, Refunds & Replacements

• Due to the nature of live products, we do not accept returns.

• If you encounter any issues with your tuber upon arrival, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with clear photographs.

• We may offer a refund or replacement at our discretion. No replacements or refunds will be offered for tubers that fail due to incorrect storage, planting, or growing conditions beyond our control.

6. Crop Failure or Substitution

• In the rare event of crop failure or shortage, we may contact you to offer a substitution or refund.

7. Growing Disclaimer

• Growing results may vary depending on climate, soil, and care. While we provide healthy, viable tubers, we cannot guarantee performance once planted.

8. Biosecurity & Shipping Restrictions

• We do not ship tubers outside of New Zealand.

9. Intellectual Property

• All product descriptions and branding are the property of True Floral and may not be used without permission.

10. Tuber Appearance

• Dahlia tubers come in all shapes and sizes — some may be small, large, long, round, wrinkled, or slightly soft. This is completely normal and not an indication of quality or viability.

• We assess each tuber before dispatch to ensure it has at least one visible eye and is in healthy, plantable condition.

• Surface imperfections such as scarring, slight softness, or dryness are common in tubers and do not affect their ability to grow.

• We do not offer refunds or replacements based on cosmetic appearance alone, as variation is natural.

Dahlia Seed Terms & Conditions

1. Open-Pollinated Nature

• All seeds are open-pollinated and genetically diverse. This means they will not grow true to the parent plant. Each seed may produce a unique and never-before-seen dahlia bloom — this is ideal for growers who enjoy variety and experimentation.

2. No Guarantees on Colour, Form, or Performance

•Due to the genetic variation of seed-grown dahlias, we cannot guarantee flower colour, form, plant height, or tuber production. Growing from seed is a rewarding adventure, but results can vary greatly.

3. Germination Rates

•We cannot guarantee specific germination rates once they leave our care, as success depends on growing conditions, climate, and storage after delivery.

4. Plant Maturity & Tuber Formation

•Dahlias grown from seed may take longer to flower and may or may not produce viable tubers in their first season. Tuber formation is not guaranteed, but it is likely they will produce tubers depending on care.

5. Returns & Refunds

•Due to the nature of live seed products, we do not offer returns or refunds. However, if your seeds arrive damaged, please get in touch within 5 days of receiving your order with a photo, and we will do our best to make it right.

6. Intended Use

•Seeds are sold for personal, non-commercial use only unless prior agreement is made. Resale is not permitted.

7. Shipping & Handling

•We ship with care, but cannot take responsibility for postal delays or losses once the parcel leaves our hands. Please double-check your shipping address at checkout.

8. Storage Advice

•If you are not sowing immediately, store seeds in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight to maintain viability.

Dahlia Cuttings Terms & Conditions

1. Plant Health

•All cuttings are carefully rooted and inspected before dispatch. They are grown in a clean environment and are free from visible pests or disease at the time of shipping.

2. Variety Identification

•Cuttings are taken from clearly labelled stock plants; however, occasional mislabels can occur. While we do our best to ensure accuracy, we cannot 100% guarantee every variety.

3. Live Plant Shipping

•We pack and ship with care, but once your cuttings leave us, we are not responsible for damage caused by delays, mishandling in transit, or environmental stress during shipping.

4. Acclimation & Care

•Cuttings may experience mild transplant shock after arrival. We recommend potting them into a suitable medium, gradually acclimating them to outdoor conditions (hardening off), and keeping them well-watered but not overwatered.

5. No Returns or Refunds

•Due to the nature of live plants, we do not offer refunds or returns. If your cuttings arrive severely damaged or unviable, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos, and we will do our best to assist.

6. Growth & Tuber Formation

•Success in growing and tuber production depends on your care, growing conditions, and climate. We cannot guarantee performance, flower production, or tuber development.

7. Intended Use

•Cuttings are sold for personal use only and may not be propagated for resale unless agreed upon in writing.

8. Pre-Order Commitment

•If you are purchasing through a pre-order, please note that ship dates may shift slightly based on plant readiness and weather conditions. By ordering, you agree to accept these timeframes.

Bouquet Terms & Conditions

1. Seasonal Availability

•Our bouquets are made using the freshest flowers in season. While we follow a general style or colour palette, specific flowers may vary depending on availability. Substitutions will always be made with equal or greater value blooms that reflect the overall feel.

2. Flower Lifespan

•Our flowers are freshly picked and conditioned to give the longest vase life possible. Most blooms will last 5–10 days with proper care. We recommend trimming stems, using clean vases, and changing the water regularly to help extend freshness.

3. Custom Orders

•We do not offer full customisation unless arranged in advance. Requests for specific colours or flowers will be considered, but cannot be guaranteed unless confirmed prior to purchase.

4. Delivery

•We deliver locally on set delivery days. Please ensure someone will be available to receive the bouquet. If no one is home, it will be left in a safe spot at the delivery address. Once delivered, we are no longer responsible for damage or weather-related issues.

5. Pickup Option

•If you’ve selected to pick up your bouquet, please collect it within the agreed timeframe. We do not take responsibility for bouquets not picked up on time or left in vehicles.

6. Returns & Refunds

•Due to the perishable nature of flowers, we do not accept returns or offer refunds. If there is a problem with your bouquet upon arrival, please contact us within 24 hours with a photo and we will do our best to make it right.

7. Gift Orders

•If you are sending a bouquet as a gift, please make sure the recipient is aware a delivery is coming and provide correct contact details and address. We are not responsible for missed deliveries due to incorrect information.

8. Vase Life Care Tips

•A care card may be included with your bouquet, but it is the customer’s responsibility to follow standard flower care. Keep bouquets out of direct sunlight and heat for best longevity.

Pick Your Own (PYO) Flowers Terms & Conditions

1. Booking is Essential

•PYO visits must be booked in advance during open days/hours. Walk-ins are not permitted unless stated otherwise.

2. Supervised Children Only

•Children are welcome but must be closely supervised at all times. Our flower field is a working space — we want everyone to stay safe and respect the blooms.

3. You Pick It, You Buy It

•Once flowers are picked, they cannot be put back. Please be mindful when cutting. You are responsible for the cost of what you pick.

4. No Outside Buckets

•We provide buckets for collecting flowers during your visit. Please do not bring your own.

5. Respect the Patch

•Please stick to the designated picking areas. Some flowers may be marked as off-limits for growing, seed saving, or florist use — we ask that these are left untouched.

6. Wet Weather or Cancellation

•If PYO is cancelled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, we’ll offer an alternative date or voucher where possible. Refunds are not guaranteed but will be considered case by case.

7. No Substitutions or Returns

•Due to the perishable nature of flowers, all sales are final. No returns or exchanges once the bucket has been picked.

Event Buckets Terms & Conditions

1. What’s Included

•Event buckets include a mix of dahlia blooms curated by us. Stems are cut fresh and supplied in a growers’ mix — colour palettes can be requested but are not guaranteed.

2. Stem Count

•Each bucket typically contains 20–25 stems, depending on flower type and size.

3. DIY Use Only

•Buckets are supplied for DIY use — ideal for weddings, parties, and events where you or your florist are arranging. No arranging is included unless booked separately.

4. No Substitutions or Returns

•Due to the perishable nature of flowers, all sales are final. No returns or exchanges once the bucket has been collected or delivered.

5. Pickup & Delivery

•Buckets can be picked up from the farm at an agreed time, or local delivery can be arranged (fees apply). Buckets must be kept cool and out of direct sun to maintain freshness.

6. Storage & Vase Life

•Keep flowers in water and store in a cool place until use. Vase life varies depending on flower type and care — typically 5–10 days.

7. Bucket Deposit

•Buckets must be returned within 7 days unless stated otherwise. A refundable deposit may apply or a fee will be charged for unreturned buckets.
